![[Guest Information]](info/images/GuestInfoa.jpg) Complete
Disneyland Resort information, including operating hours for
specific attractions, restaurants and stores is available
at Disneyland Information Centers. There is a Disneyland Information
Center on Main Street and there is the Central Plaza Information
Center which
also
posts wait times for many of Disneyland's attractions as well
as show and parade times for
the
day. It's right there at the Central Plaza. You
can't
miss it. For further Disneyland
Park information, please call (714) 781-4565. You can also
check out the official Disneyland Resort
site which will let you know of the specifics for the day
you wish to visit. When one gets
to the park, much of the information on
this page can be found in the Disneyland Today handout. But
why
wait? Wouldn't you really rather read about it here first?
Don't forget about Guest Services located to the left of the
park entrance. They can help you out with issues that you
may have. |

discount when purchased in advance from Disney. In
case you are wondering, the CityPass is a pretty extensive
ticket package. It includes a 3 Day Park Hopper pass for the
Disneyland Resort, and then single day tickets for Knott's
Berry Farm, the San Diego Zoo, and Sea World Adventure Park.
If you are visiting from out of town this may be a perfect
package for you. While not specifically listed at this time,
the single day ticket has become a dual park ticket as well.
As this is a very new development, please check with Disney
for specific details.

| There's
no question that we all hate this part. But there really isn't
anything that we can do about it. It's all for the better
right? We just have a little bit of refurbishment pain for
the moment for a nice payoff later when the attraction looks
and functions better than it did before. I just hate it when
I have friends or family visit that haven't been to the park
in 10 years and attractions like Indiana Jones are closed.
Don't you hate that too?

Baby
Care Center:
This
center is located on the northeast end of Main Street.
It provides facilities for preparing formulas, warming
bottles, nursing and changing diapers. Yum. The center
also offers numerous baby sundries for purchase. Diaper
machines and changing tables are located in most men's
and women's rest rooms throughout the park. No kids
yet for me, and I have yet to visit a center.
-Hosted by Nestle Carnation Baby
Formulas- |
Banking:
![[The Bank of Main Street Interior]](info/images/BankInteriora.jpg) For
those of you who need just a little bit more cash, there
are ATMs strategically placed throughout Disneyland
to help you out with that. Basic banking
services are provided at the Bank of Main Street. Foreign
currency may also be exchanged there at the current
exchange rate. Money... Gotta
have it. Make sure you get enough out for me too. |
Credit
Cards:
Visa
is the official card of Disneyland and is accepted just
about everywhere I can think of. They will also accept
Discover, Mastercard, American Express, the Disney Credit
Card and JCB. But I suppose there can be only one official
credit card, right? Traveler's checks and of course
cash are also widely accepted. |
Disneyland
Kennel Club:
So
you're on vacation and you brought Spot with you. It's
all good. The Kennel Club is located just east of the
Disneyland Main Entrance. There are however no facilities
for overnight accommodations.
So don't leave Spot behind. He will be angry.
-Hosted by Purina- |
Disneyland
Resort Tickets:
If
you purchase a single day admission, it will allow
you to visit only one theme park on a particular day.
If you need to leave for whatever reason you may have,
just remember to get your hand stamped and you can
return with no worries. You will need to show your
ticket again too. Maybe you suddenly remembered that
you left your headlights on or something.
If
you purchase a Multi-Day Park Hopper ticket, it will
allow you to visit both Disneyland and California
Adventure on a particular day. If you exit, remember
to get your hand stamped and remember to hold on to
your ticket. You will need to show both your ticket
and your hand stamp to enter California Adventure
or return to Disneyland.
|
FastPass
Service:
There
are a number of attractions here at the park that support
Disney's FastPass system. FastPass is a way for you
to "hold" your place in line while you go
off and do other things. It's really easy to use and
it can cut down on a lot of waiting time. There are
no extra fees so you would be crazy to not take advantage
of the service. FastPass is available at the following
attractions:
Autopia
Big Thunder
Mountain Railroad
Haunted Mansion
Indiana Jones
Adventure
Pirates of the Caribbean
|
Roger
Rabbit's Car
Toon Spin
Space Mountain
Splash Mountain
Star Tours
|
Make
sure that you have your ticket or pass in hand and approach
the nearby distribution center for the attraction you
are interested in. Insert your ticket and you will receive
a FastPass that will tell you when you should return.
Return during your designated time window and enter
the FastPass entrance instead of the StandBy entrance
and you're all set. You'll be on in no time. Just remember
that you can't go around the park and grab a bunch of
passes all at once. Look at the bottom of your FastPass
ticket and you can see when you can get another one.
|
Guests
With Young
Children:
There
is a service Disneyland offers guests with very young
children that is often overlooked. Parents may take
turns experiencing an attraction while still staying
with the child and not waiting in a line twice. Child
swapping is very convenient so ask a Cast Member at
the attraction for assistance. |
Guided
Tours:
There
are two tours available to choose from if you are interested
in taking one. The first is the "Red Carpet Experience"
which gives you a basic introduction to Disneyland and
California Adventure. The second tour is titled "A
Walk in Walt's Footsteps" which takes a much more
detailed and historical look at the park through the
eyes of Walt Disney. There are tours available on a
daily basis and tickets are sold at Guest Relations
and at the Main Entry Plaza Ticket Booths. All tours
are subject to availability of course. I've never taken
either one, so I don't have much to say about them. |
Lockers:
Lockers
are available for your convenience both inside the park
and outside the park. On busy days they can go pretty
fast, so if you plan on getting one you might want to
get it early. Go ahead because you can keep the same
locker all day long for one price. The system is pretty
cool. Approach the control center and pay for your locker.
It will then open your corresponding locker and give
you a password instead of a key to hold onto. Be prepared
to spend $4 on a locker. |
Lost
Guests:
Little
ones who are under the age of 10 will be helped along
to Lost Children which is located next to First Aid.
If you are over the age of 10, you can leave a message
at City Hall or the Guest Relations Lobby. You could
try a message in a bottle, but you probably won't get
the results you are looking for. |
Package
Check Service:
With
this service, guests can shop throughout Disneyland
and then have any purchases made sent to the Main Entrance
Newsstand, Tomorrowland's Premiere Shop, or the Pioneer
Mercantile in Frontierland for pickup later in the day.
Disneyland generally asks for at least two hours between
a purchase and a pickup. Guests of the Resort Hotels
may also request that purchases be delivered to Bell
Services for pickup on the following day after 7 in
the morning. There are some restrictions so go ahead
and ask any store Cast Member for details. |
Picnic
Area:
Disney
officials request that no food or beverages be brought
into Disneyland. A picnic area is located west of the
Main Entrance for the convenience of those who decide
to bring food in the form of say... a picnic lunch. |
Prepaid
Cards:
There
are vending machines available that offer AT&T Prepaid
Cards in Disneyland. They are located inside the Main
Street locker area and at the Starcade in Tomorrowland. |
Resort Lost
& Found:
| Out
of all the places you can go if you lose something, I
would say that this is the best. The Lost & Found
for the Resort is actually located outside of the park
just east of the California Adventure Main Entrance. |
Safety
Considerations:
One
must admit, Disneyland works pretty hard to offer a
comfortable, safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Please abide by all safety warnings and notices. If
there are any questions or problems, please see a Cast
Member. Also, do everyone a favor and show common courtesy
to fellow park guests. Please be respectful of others.
Disneyland asks guests to not use profanity or engage
in unsafe, illegal, or offensive behavior. And please
abide by all the safety warnings and notices. Proper
attire (including shoes and shirts) must be worn at
all times in Disneyland.
For
your safety while on attractions, please keep your hands,
arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times. Stay
seated until instructed otherwise. Young children should
be accompanied by an adult. Parents... Please keep your
young kids under control. There is no denying that Disneyland
is for fun, but at the same time, people don't want
to be run down by a screaming out-of-control 5 year-old.
At
parade time, please honor designated viewing areas and
crosswalks. I've seen Cast Members work very hard at
to ensure a safe performing arena for everyone. Even
if it might be fun at the time, please do not make things
too difficult.
|
Smoking:
For
the comfort of all guests, smoking is prohibited in
all waiting areas, attractions, stores, dining areas,
rest rooms, and locations designed for parade and stage
show viewing. Cough... ackk... gag... As if there aren't
worse things in the air than second hand smoke, right?
So if you smoke, just do it in the designated areas
only. These spots are located on the park map or feel
free to ask a Cast Member where to go. |
Strollers:
A
limited number of strollers are available for rental.
Strollers cannot be accomodated on many attractions. |
Touring
& Travel Service
Center:
This
center is located on Main Street and provides AAA services
to members which include hotel reservations. All Disneyland
Resort guests may receive stalled car services, flat
tire changing, and towing with no additional fee. Scream
out loud for a Disneyland Cast Member to assist you
when you are in need of one of the above services.
-Operated by the
Automobile Club of Southern California- |
Wheelchairs
& Services for Guests
with Disabilities:
For
complete information, please refer to the Guidebook
for Guests with Disabilities available at Park Information
Centers. It's a wonderful guidebook that I've never
read. An audio tape tour of Disneyland, the Disneyland
Park Braille Guidebook and written aids for many Disneyland
attractions are available for use while visiting the
park. Please visit City Hall for assistance.
There
are a limited number of wheelchairs and Electric Convenience
Vehicles available to rent just inside the Main Entrance.
Guest must be at least 18 years of age to rent or operate
an Electric Convenience Vehicle. They are available
for a small fee and there is also a refundable deposit
required. |

I
would love to hear any comments that might be brewing inside.
Some visitors may enjoy this site and the presentation. But
I also have no doubt that many will react with complete and
utter horror and as a result, run screeching away from the
visions presented before them. Or perhaps I'm simply missing
something that you feel should be here. Let me know what you
think... |
