[Mickey Thinks This is News]I'm sure all of you know how fast time flies. Those of you who put a lot of time in at work know this even more I'm sure. I could've sworn that it was only a couple of weeks ago, since I made that last post. I guess I was wrong.

I went through and updated some of the information such as those poor attractions on the "Closed for Refurbishment" list. This may not be a hot time to go to the park if you are coming from out of town. While you never want to pass up the opportunity to visit Disneyland, just be aware that a lot of the park is under construction right now. A lot of building faces are under the tent receiving some care and affection. Next year is a big year for Disneyland. For those of you who don't know why, I'll give you a hint: The park opened in 1955.

[Aladdin THX CAV LaserDisc]As I understand it, your single day admission pass will now get you into both parks. We all knew this was going to happen eventually. I think people will agree with me that this is great for the Disneyland Resort and for the public. I admit though that it was nice to generally have smaller crowds for California Adventure. But maybe this will help to balance out the crowds. This might be a permanent change, but we'll see.

Did you pick up Aladdin on DVD? I'm waiting myself. I spent $50 for the CAV THX LaserDisc when that came out, so I'm not running out to pick it up. How do you like it?

I want to thank everyone again for all of their wonderful comments and support. I've been getting some great feedback and it really makes me feel as if I've put my time into something that not just I enjoy. I consider this especially positive considering the fact that I'm still not done. But then maybe it won't really ever be. There's always something that can be added. But you may notice some various things about the site that are just a little bland and lack a certain sense of presentation. I assure you that I am aware of that and I can only ask that you continue to visit and I'm sure you will be pleased with the results.

So why no recent updates? Excellent question. You see, there's something called work. It can sometimes get in the way of things that you really like to do. For the past few months I have been working about 70 hours a week in 6 or 7 day weeks. I have another 17 more days to go until I get another day off. So there you go. For some they may consider that a weak excuse. It's a little hard to get anything more done when you have to go to bed an hour after you get home. I expect it all to quiet down soon and Disneyland Magic will power up again to bring you Magic to your memories.

Thanks again everyone. I'll see you soon.

[Thinking About Music...]There is some free time in the air. What does that mean? I've been able to update the audio on many of the pages. They aren't all ready but they will be soon. I also chose to make the audio optional because not everyone out there has a broadband connection. Eventually everyone will. Right? So if you want to get in the proper mood for whichever land you might be visiting, just click on the "Load Audio" button in the top left corner and the audio will load and begin playing. Just give it a minute. I assure you it is loading. Enjoy...

[Space Mountain]I haven't had too much of a chance to round out the site much lately but thanks for all the positive comments and feedback. I really appreciate it. I have made some changes here and there recently but mostly I added a more detailed description of what we can expect from the new Space Mountain. The information quoted on the Tomorrowland page was originally posted on the alt.disney.disneyland newsgroup and I thought I would post it here in case some of you missed it. So check that out as well as everything else. Disneyland Magic is growing a little bit at a time.

[It's a Little Like How I Feel]I can't believe the time has come to open this site up to the public. If I were to actually tell you how long I have been working on this site, you wouldn't believe me. I know you wouldn't. I got the inspiration to start up this whole thing years ago on a summer morning. Disneyland Magic has seen a lot of changes since then. The reason why this site has taken me so long is that I've been trying to get things perfect and I tend to spend a lot of time on non-content related material such as graphics and format.

In order to get things going, I have temporarily removed most of the multimedia material such as music, graphics and animation, because they just aren't right yet. Also, most of the Flash material is also missing because it just isn't done yet either. THIS SITE ISN'T DONE YET. I want to make sure that everyone knows that. Many pages (especially graphics) aren't there yet. They will soon. I wanted a sort of "soft opening" to maybe get some comments before I post the rest of the site. But I have the domain and the space and I'm getting things rolling. Why am I telling you this? I want this to be a good site and a site frequently visited by the lovers of Disneyland. So keep stopping by. It's going to be a good time.

You may find that I write a little bit too much about everything. I like to just let my thoughts flow and tell you what I'm thinking. Is it too boring? Feel free to let me know what you think. Also, I've noticed some interesting quirks that show up with software firewalls. So if something seems off, that might be it. You might want to make sure you're using the most current version of Flash too. There is one more thing I wanted to mention. I try to put a border around graphics that don't come from me. I don't want there to be any misconceptions but there may be some that slipped by.

That Haunted Mansion portrait sums things up pretty well. I'm going to be updating Disneyland Magic quite a bit within the next week or so. Rather than report on everything that's changing, just check back and take a look at what might not have been there before. I thank you all for visiting.

[E-Mail Me]
I would love to hear any comments that might be brewing inside. Some visitors may enjoy this site and the presentation. But I also have no doubt that many will react with complete and utter horror and as a result, run screeching away from the visions presented before them. Or perhaps I'm simply missing something that you feel should be here. Let me know what you think...
